Payment Plata by MONO (Monobank) for JoomShopping 5+

Online payment should be a natural continuation of checkout: the customer selects a convenient payment method, proceeds to the secure payment page, completes the transaction, and the store automatically receives the payment result.

Plata by MONO (Monobank) Payment for JoomShopping 5+ integrates your online store with Monobank internet acquiring and allows you to accept online payments directly within the standard JoomShopping checkout process.

Customers can pay with Visa and Mastercard cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and supported Monobank payment scenarios, while JoomShopping automatically processes the payment result and updates the order status.

Checkout and online payment in one workflow. The customer creates an order in JoomShopping, proceeds to Monobank for payment, and the transaction result is returned to the store for further order processing.

Main online payment methods

The integration allows you to offer customers familiar modern payment options without building a separate payment workflow outside JoomShopping.

Visa and Mastercard

Accept online card payments through the Monobank payment service.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

Customers can use a convenient payment method from a smartphone or another supported device.

Monobank

Payments are supported through the Monobank payment infrastructure and the payment scenarios available to the customer.

Automatic result processing

After receiving the payment service response, JoomShopping can automatically update the order status according to the transaction result.

Payment as part of the JoomShopping order

The payment module works within the standard JoomShopping checkout workflow.

The customer:

  1. adds products to the cart;
  2. places an order;
  3. selects Monobank as the payment method;
  4. proceeds to the payment service;
  5. completes the payment using an available option;
  6. returns to the store after the payment flow is completed.

The store does not need to create a separate payment manually, copy the order amount, or manually link the transaction to the purchase.

Automatic order status update

After payment, it is important not only to receive the funds but also to correctly reflect the result inside the store.

The module processes payment service responses and allows JoomShopping to automatically update the order status depending on the transaction result.

This reduces manual work for the manager and helps integrate online payment into the standard order-processing workflow.

The payment and the order stay connected. The transaction result is used for further processing of the corresponding order in JoomShopping.

What happens when payment is unsuccessful

Not every payment attempt is successful. The customer may close the payment page, cancel the transaction, or receive a payment service rejection.

The current version includes a separate option for forced order completion when payment is unsuccessful.

This allows the store behavior to be adapted to the required business logic and determines how JoomShopping should handle an order when the payment was not successfully completed.

Cart item transfer for fiscalization

For fiscalization, the total payment amount alone may not be enough — information about the products included in the order can also be required.

The module supports transferring the cart contents during payment, allowing this data to be used in fiscalization scenarios with solutions compatible with Monobank acquiring.

This is especially relevant for stores where online payment must be connected with subsequent fiscal receipt generation.

Fiscalization settings and legal requirements depend on the service used by the store, the business structure, and the applicable current legislation.

Together with a convenient checkout

The payment module handles online payment, while the checkout itself can be simplified with OneStepCheckout 5 for JoomShopping 5+ .

In this workflow, the customer reviews the cart, enters contact details, selects shipping and Monobank as the payment method on one page, and then proceeds directly to the payment process.

Monobank + shipping

Online payment can be used together with standard JoomShopping shipping methods and dedicated Nevigen integrations.

For example:

The customer can select the required shipping method during checkout and then pay the final order amount through Monobank.

When payment should not be allowed immediately

In some stores, accepting payment immediately after checkout is not desirable.

For example, the manager may first need to:

  • verify actual product availability;
  • confirm the delivery time;
  • check the order with a supplier;
  • clarify details with the customer.

For this scenario, Monobank can be used together with Deferred Payment for JoomShopping 5+ .

The order is created and reviewed by the manager first, and once confirmed, the customer can proceed to online payment for the existing order.

Online payment or invoice payment

A single store can support several payment scenarios.

Customers who prefer immediate online payment can use Monobank.

If a company or another customer needs a separate payment document, you can additionally use PDF Payment Invoice for JoomShopping 5+ .

This allows the store to support both fast online payment and traditional invoice-based payment at the same time.

Connecting to the Monobank service

The module integrates JoomShopping with the payment service, but to accept real payments the store must have an activated Monobank acquiring account and the required API credentials.

Before purchasing the extension, it is recommended to complete the required registration and activation with Monobank and make sure that payment acceptance is available for your business.

Important: purchasing the Nevigen extension itself does not activate Monobank acquiring. Access to real payment processing, fees, and service conditions are determined directly by the payment provider.

Testing the integration

If Monobank provides the corresponding API data for testing, the integration can be configured and checked before switching to live payments.

This makes it possible to verify the interaction between JoomShopping and the payment service and check how orders behave within the payment workflow.

Who this extension is for

The extension is designed for JoomShopping stores that need integration with Monobank acquiring.

It is especially relevant for:

  • online stores with full online payment;
  • stores accepting Visa and Mastercard;
  • stores where customers actively use Apple Pay and Google Pay;
  • businesses using Monobank acquiring;
  • stores that need automatic order status updates after payment;
  • projects where cart item data needs to be transferred for further fiscalization.

Main module features
