OneStepCheckout allows you to define which fields should automatically trigger a checkout update when their values change. This makes it possible to immediately recalculate available shipping methods, shipping costs, payment options, taxes, and other order parameters.
The customer sees the up-to-date result of their choices before confirming the order:
product cost, available shipping options, payment methods, and the final order total.
Guest checkout, login, and registration
OneStepCheckout follows Joomla user settings and the JoomShopping registration mode, allowing the store to use different checkout scenarios.
Depending on the configuration, a customer can:
- place an order without registration;
- log in to an existing account directly on the checkout page;
- register while completing the order;
- choose whether to create an account;
- have an account created automatically using their e-mail address when the corresponding registration scenario is enabled.

An input mask can be configured for the phone or mobile phone field. This helps customers enter their number in the required format and makes the checkout form easier to understand.
Customer address and shipping address
For stores where the recipient's address may differ from the customer's primary address, the standard JoomShopping address logic is supported.
The set of address fields, their required status, and their display order are configured in JoomShopping, while OneStepCheckout uses this configuration when building the checkout form.
Page after order completion
After a successful checkout, the customer can be shown the required information about the created order on the Thank You for Your Order page.
