Sale & Discount Timer for JoomShopping 5+ displays an offer end date or countdown directly next to a product. The timer can be shown on the product page, in product lists, or through a dedicated promotional product module.
Each product can have its own promotion end date, with separate control over where the timer should be displayed.
Customers immediately see that the offer is time-limited.
Instead of a generic “Sale” label, you can show a specific expiration date or a live countdown in days, hours, minutes, and seconds.

Where the timer can be displayed
The promotion can be shown at different stages of browsing the catalog:
- on the product detail page;
- in categories and other product lists;
- through a dedicated module in a template module position.
Display in the product list and on the product detail page can be controlled separately for each product.
Dedicated promotional product module
The extension includes a module that allows time-limited products to be displayed in a separate promotional block — for example on the home page, in a sidebar, or in another module position.
When several products are selected, they are automatically displayed as a slider.
The module can present the promotional product together with the discount, old and current prices, savings, and the time remaining until the offer ends.
Promotion ended — the product is removed from the module
Promotional blocks do not need to be checked manually after every campaign.
The extension can automatically stop displaying a product in the module:
- when the configured promotion end time is reached;
- when the product stock reaches zero.
If no products remain available for display, the module itself can also be hidden.
Keep promotional blocks current automatically.
Customers are not shown an offer that has already expired or a product that is no longer available.
Discounts remain standard JoomShopping logic
Sale & Discount Timer does not calculate or assign the discount itself.
Prices and discounts continue to use the standard JoomShopping functionality, while the extension is responsible for visually presenting the offer's time limit.
This keeps price management inside JoomShopping while the timer communicates the promotion period to the customer.

The timer can be used for:

Important limitation
The timer does not apply separately to individual dependent attribute combinations.
If a product uses attribute combinations with their own discounts, Sale & Discount Timer does not maintain individual promotion periods for those combinations.
This should be considered if a large part of the catalog relies on products with many dependent attribute combinations.
