Unlimited discount levels
You can configure multiple order value thresholds and assign a different discount to each level.

The number of levels is not limited, so the system can be used for a simple two-threshold promotion or a more detailed progressive discount scale.
Percentage or fixed discount
Each level can use:
- a percentage discount based on the order amount;
- a fixed discount amount in the store's base currency.
This makes it possible to build different promotion models, such as “5% off orders over 5,000” or “500 off when the order reaches 10,000”.
Show progress toward the next discount
One of the extension's most valuable scenarios is showing customers how much more they need to add to the cart to reach the next discount level.
For example:
the customer already has products worth 4,300 in the cart, while the next discount level starts at 5,000. The store can show that adding another 700 will unlock better conditions.
This makes the benefit clear before checkout and can encourage the customer to add another product instead of completing the purchase at the current cart value.
Exclude low-margin products
An order-wide discount is not always appropriate for the entire catalog. Some products may have low margins or supplier conditions that do not allow an additional price reduction.
The extension therefore allows you to exclude:
- specific product categories;
- products from selected manufacturers;
- specific customer groups.
Products from excluded categories or manufacturers do not participate in the order amount discount logic, allowing the promotion to be applied selectively without reducing profitability on sensitive items.
Different conditions for customer groups
If some customers already have special pricing conditions — for example wholesale customers or partners — those groups can be excluded from the order amount discount.
This helps prevent multiple discount systems from overlapping where such combinations are not intended by the store's pricing logic.
Important note about coupons
If the customer applies a JoomShopping coupon, the coupon discount is used.
The order amount discount is not calculated in that case.
This should be considered when coupon promotions and order amount discounts are used in the same store.
Taxes and discount calculation
For correct calculations, the JoomShopping tax configuration should be taken into account, especially the order in which tax and discount calculations are applied.
If the store uses VAT or other taxes, the final order calculation should be verified after configuring the extension to make sure it matches the store's tax logic.
