Telegram Product Informer for JoomShopping 5+ allows you to create messages about new and updated products and send them to a selected Telegram channel or group through your own bot.

Separate messages for new and updated products
Different message templates can be prepared for different marketing situations.
New product
Use a dedicated template to announce a new product that has just been added to the catalog.
Product update
A separate template can be used for price changes, stock updates, or other important product changes.
This means you do not have to use the same generic text for every situation. A new product can be presented as an announcement, while an updated product can highlight a new price, stock availability, or another relevant change.
Templates with product data
Messages do not need to be written manually each time. Special tags can be added to a template and are automatically replaced with current product data when the message is sent.
Available product data includes:
- product ID;
- product code / EAN;
- manufacturer code;
- product name;
- stock quantity;
- old price;
- current price;
- product weight;
- line breaks for message formatting.
Prices are sent together with the store currency, allowing the Telegram message to show the current product price immediately.
Configure the template once
You can prepare one message template for new products and another for product updates. Current product data is inserted automatically when the message is sent.
Choose the message directly in product editing
After installation, an additional Telegram message option becomes available in the JoomShopping product editing form.
For each product you can choose to:
- send no message;
- use the new product template;
- use the product update template.
When the product is saved, the selected message is sent to the configured Telegram channel or group.
Control each message before sending
Messages are not automatically sent every time a product is saved. The administrator chooses the appropriate message type for the specific product.
A complete product post in Telegram
Customers receive more than a technical catalog notification. Telegram can display a complete product post prepared from your template.
The message can include the product image, template-based text with the product name and price, stock information, and a link back to the product page.
Telegram as an additional promotion channel
A product post can bring subscribers from Telegram back to the product page in your online store, where they can review the complete offer.

What you need to connect Telegram
The extension uses your store's own Telegram bot. The bot only needs to be created once and connected to the required channel or group.
Setup takes several steps:

Open
@BotFather
in Telegram and create your own bot by following its instructions.

Save the Token (API key) provided by Telegram for your bot.

Create or select the required Telegram channel or group and add the bot.

Grant the bot administrator permissions.

Send any message to the channel or group to initialize the connection.

Enter the Token in the extension settings and save the configuration.

Available channels and groups containing your bot will then appear in the settings. Select where product messages should be sent.
No separate third-party publishing service is required.
The store works through your own Telegram bot, while the required channel or group is selected directly in the extension settings.
