New Products Module for JoomShopping 5+ automatically creates a product block from new or recently updated catalog items and allows you to place it in any suitable Joomla module position.
The catalog is updated — new products automatically appear in the module.
There is no need to maintain a separate selection manually: the block is generated from JoomShopping products according to the selected sorting method.
Automatic new products block
The module can display products that have recently appeared in the catalog without requiring a manually maintained list.
When new products are added to JoomShopping, they can automatically appear in the module according to the selected sorting method.
The block can be used for sections such as:
- “New Products”;
- “New Arrivals”;
- “Recently Added”;
- “Latest Products”;
- other blocks featuring current catalog items.
Three sorting options
The module allows you to define which products should appear first in the list.
By product ID
Display products according to their JoomShopping product IDs.
By creation date
The classic “New Products” scenario — the most recently added products appear first.
By modification date
Display products that were updated most recently.
This means the module can be used not only for new arrivals but also for a block showing the latest catalog updates.
Limit products by category
You do not have to display new products from the entire store.
The module can be limited to one or several selected JoomShopping categories.
For example:
a dedicated section of the website can display new products only from relevant categories without mixing them with the rest of the store catalog.
This allows you to create multiple instances of the module for different areas of the site, each using its own category selection.
Configure the number of products
The administrator defines how many products should be displayed in the module.
A small home page block can contain only a few products, while a dedicated section can show a larger list.
Control product card content
The module allows you to configure which product information is displayed in the block.
Available elements include:
- product image;
- price;
- “Add to Cart” button;
- button linking to detailed product information;
- product characteristics;
- description;
- other supported product card data.
