When AJAX mode is enabled, matching products appear in a dropdown directly below the search field.
The page does not reload, allowing customers to quickly review the matching products and open the required item directly from the search suggestions.

Search only JoomShopping products
The module is designed specifically for searching the JoomShopping product catalog.
It does not mix Joomla articles, site pages, or other content into the results — searches are performed exclusively among store products.

When customers enter a product name, they receive product results rather than a general list of website pages.
Two operating modes
AJAX is optional. The module supports two search modes, allowing the administrator to choose the approach that best fits the website.
AJAX enabled
- live results below the search field;
- no page reload;
- configurable result limit;
- faster search flow for customers.
AJAX disabled
- search after clicking the button or pressing Enter;
- redirect to the standard JoomShopping search results page;
- fewer AJAX requests while typing;
- a fallback option for sites with JavaScript conflicts.
This means the module can be used both as a modern live search and as a standard JoomShopping search form.
Control the number of AJAX results
You can define the maximum number of products displayed in the live search dropdown.
The default value is 5 products, but it can be adjusted according to the store design and catalog structure.
This prevents the compact search dropdown from becoming overloaded with too many results.
Search the entire catalog or a selected category
The search area can be limited to a specific JoomShopping category.
When All is selected, the module searches the entire catalog. When a specific category is selected, searches are limited to that category.
For example:
a dedicated page or website section can use a search module that searches only within one selected product category.
Use it in any Joomla module position
The extension is installed and configured as a standard Joomla module.
It can be placed in any available template position — for example in the site header, mobile menu, sidebar, or another area where customers need quick access to product search.
AJAX search or a full results page
Live suggestions are ideal when a customer is looking for a specific product, but sometimes a broader list of results is required.
With AJAX disabled, the module uses the standard JoomShopping search results page, where matching products can be displayed as a regular product list.
