Product Image Zoom for JoomShopping 5+ is a modern Joomla extension that adds an interactive zoom effect to the main product image in your online store. Built on pure JavaScript, it does not require jQuery, avoids conflicts with other scripts, and works automatically without modifying your template. This ensures clean and seamless integration into any JoomShopping template without manual coding.

Features

Two display modes:
- Side pane — the zoomed image appears beside the main image.
- Inside the image (magnifier) — the zoom effect appears directly inside the image (magnifier style).
Mobile mode is activated automatically on screens smaller than 640px, with the zoom pane shown above the image for better responsiveness.
Flexible zoom control: the zoom factor is set manually (e.g., 5 for 5× magnification).
Optional bounding box to highlight the zoom area — useful for large screens.
Touch support for zoom on mobile devices.
Manual zoom initialization: if needed, you can enable zoom on any image manually using the attribute: data-nevigen-product-zoom="URL_of_full_image"

Compatibility & Requirements

No template modifications required as long as the standard JoomShopping structure is preserved. For proper operation, your template must include an element with id="main_image_(image_id)" — the container of the main product image. Alternatively, use manual initialization by adding the attribute to the middle image.
Compatible with dynamic image switching (thumbnails) — the zoom effect updates in real time without reloading the page.
Fully responsive and lightweight — minimal JS footprint ensures no performance issues.

Note: the zoom effect applies only to the main product image. Structural changes to the template (such as removing or renaming the image container) may prevent the plugin from functioning correctly.
