How the payment process works
The payment module operates as part of the standard JoomShopping checkout workflow.
- The customer adds products to the cart.
- Places the order and selects LiqPay as the payment method.
- After the order is created, proceeds to the payment service.
- Selects an available payment option.
- Completes the payment.
- LiqPay sends the transaction result back to the store.
- JoomShopping processes the response and updates the order status according to the result.
The manager does not need to manually match every payment with an order or separately update its status after a successful transaction.
Automatic order status updates
For an online store, accepting payment is only part of the process — the corresponding order also needs to continue through processing automatically.
The module processes different LiqPay server responses and allows JoomShopping to automatically update the order status depending on the payment result.
This integrates online payment into the store's normal workflow without requiring constant manual verification of every successful transaction.
The payment remains linked to the corresponding order.
The result received from LiqPay is used for further processing of that order in JoomShopping.
What happens when payment is unsuccessful
A customer may not complete the payment, may close the payment page, or the transaction may be declined.
The current version includes a separate forced order completion option for unsuccessful payments.
This allows JoomShopping behavior to be adapted to the store's business logic and determines how orders with unsuccessful payments should be handled.
Apple Pay and Google Pay without separate modules
For customers, the payment provider itself is only part of the experience — the ability to complete payment quickly is equally important.
LiqPay supports Apple Pay and Google Pay, allowing customers with compatible devices to use a familiar mobile payment method.
The store does not need to install a separate JoomShopping payment module for each of these payment options.
Privat24 for PrivatBank customers
In addition to bank card payments, LiqPay supports payments through Privat24.
This allows PrivatBank customers to use a familiar payment method alongside Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Important:
